The BBC Synopsis of this program:

As Roxy Music returns to the studio to record new material, this film traces their music development from 1972 to the present day. Contributors include Bryan Ferry and Bono. Some strong language. As the original members of Roxy Music return to the studio to record new material, after a break of 25 years, this film traces their musical development from 1972 up to the present day.

The programme looks at how Roxy Music influenced a generation of musicians such as Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Sex Pistols, Duran Duran, Chic, Human League and U2, and why they are still a musical force to be reckoned with today and can still be heard in bands such as Goldfrapp and Franz Ferdinand. Tracks include Virginia Plain, Do the Strand, Street Life, Love Is the Drug, Dance Away, Jealous Guy, and Avalon.

Bryan Ferry, Brian Eno, Phil Manzanera, Andy Mackay, Paul Thomson, Eddie Jobson and Gary Tibbs give exclusive interviews, and contributors include: Bono; Steve Jones of The Sex Pistols; Siouxsie Sioux; Nile Rodgers of Chic; John Taylor of Duran Duran; Alison Goldfrapp; Martyn Ware of Human League; producers Chris Thomas and Rhett Davies; mix engineer Bob Clearmountain; artist Tim Head; journalists Richard Williams and Tim de Lisle; and writers Simon Reynolds and Michael Bracewell. Some strong language. [S]
