The BBC Synopsis of this program:

Part of James Taylor Night. The singer-songwriter showcases material from the past 40 years including You've Got a Friend, while interviews and archive footage tell the stories behind the songs. Part of James Taylor Night.

Quintessential singer-songwriter James Taylor began his career in the late 60s with a guitar, a suitcase and a handful of original songs. This programme sees Taylor returning to this spirit and showcases material from over the past 40 years including Something in the Way She Moves; Frozen Man; Slap Leather; You've Got a Friend; Shower the People; Sweet Baby James; Carolina in My Mind; and Close Your Eyes.

Filmed at recent concerts at the Colonial Theatre in the Berkshires, the performances feature insightful and humorous anecdotes on the inspiration for the songs. Exclusive interviews and rare archive also tell the stories behind some of Taylor's most beloved hits, and the result is an extraordinary portrait of an iconic American artist. [S]
