The BBC Synopsis of this program:

2/4. State of Play

Professor Robert Winston follows the lives of 25 babies born at the start of the twenty-first century as they grow from infants into adults. All from different backgrounds, how much can their parents influence them, and how much are their lives already mapped out in the genes they were born with?

The programme looks at the influence of television and computer games on the lives of children.

The TV is always on in the house of triplets Alice, Mabel and Phoebe and they go to sleep in front of it, while Ethan loves playing violent computer games. With children spending almost four hours a day in front of their screens, have we turned into a nation of couch potatoes?
